Don’t miss our 30th anniversary Children’s Miracle Network Telethon!
Broadcast May 31 from 6pm-8pm and June 1 from 9am-6pm on WGAL TV-8
We urge you to watch and make a gift. This annual event benefits patients treated at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital by funding life-saving equipment, patient programs, and pediatric research. Every dollar that you donate will help us reach our goal!
During this year’s telethon event we will be raising money for our hospital’s Pediatric Trauma program. Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital is the only top level Pediatric Trauma Center in south central Pennsylvania.
Our pediatric specialists are available 24 hours a day to provide immediate treatment to injured children. We care for thousands of children annually in the emergency department and more than 700 of these children require hospital admission. While some stays are short, our trauma patients may also require critical air transport on our Life Lion helicopter, surgery, or admission to our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
Our telethon goal is to raise $250,000 for this program. With these funds, we will be able to support our hospital’s trauma and injury prevention program as well as fund the purchase of a new isolette for the safe air transport of infants on our Life Lion helicopter. Last year, 288 infants were transported to Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital by Life Lion.
In order to reach our fundraising goal for the Trauma program, we need 700 Miracle Makers just like you to make an ongoing monthly pledge of $30 each month or a one-time gift of $360…that’s $1 each day for our kids at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital. As a thank you for your commitment, each Miracle Maker will receive a special gift – our 30th anniversary Telethon T-shirt designed by Miracle Child Haley Kehoe. Would you be willing to help us reach our goal by becoming a Miracle Maker today?
